Real Estate Slide Down at Virginia and Massachusetts

Signs of falling sales across the east coast shows, as home sales from Virginia and Massachusetts fell in December from it's 2004 record sales, that is while prices gadually continuing increase to it's value.

From December 2004's 11,747 transactions closed to 10,565 transaction closed last year at the same season for Virginia, that's about 10 percent decrease. It's median existing home price for it's last month of December $186,260 that is 6.2 percent from 2004's $169,725.

Here's a list of areas which shows great increase in closed transaction in th Virginia Area:

Charlottesville
Harrison-Rockingham County
Lynchburg
Chesapeake Bay and Rivers
Northern Virginia
South Central Virginia
Southwest Virginia
Williamsburg

Meanwhile in the Massachusetts area, there has been 8.8 percent decrease in single-family home sales in December a year ago. It has been reported that they have suffer for declines on four straight month. From December 2004's 3,921 transaction closed to December 2005's 3,574 closed. It's median price of $354,000 per single-family home in December were consistent from it's previous month although it climb about 2.6 percent from a year ago price of 345,000.

For condominiums in the Bay State areas sales are at 1,627 in December, that is about 3 percent increase from 1,580 sales a year before that.
