Women's Drive To Purchase Real Estate Increases

Women are getting themselves involved in buying real estate these days, although some still hold on and wait for their better-half to make their dream houses come true, survey says that about 21% have already move solo.

According to the National Association of Realtors' 2005 profile of home buyers and sellers, 21% of the U.S. house buyers are made up of single or divorced women, that is about a 14 percent jump a decade ago.

Sharon Rich said that there are really many women have psychological barrier to purchasing a home because they think that their better half will be just around the corner.

Rich said "That Prince Charming myth really lasts for a long time," She's from the Belmont firm, Womoney in Massachusetts.

As for married couples they have dropped from 7- percent in 1995 now they are at 61 percent, single male buyers are at a standstill of 9 percent over the years.
